Love Crusade

This morning I listened to “Love Crusade” By Michael W Smith it was written a few ago but I think the message is more then ever needed this day in age.  I think a Love Crusade needs to happen.  Where people just band together and just show as much love as possible to everyone around them.  It might just be with starting some place small.  Like mending a broken relationship with a friend, significant other, co worker etc..  Maybe its just having that talk with your wife or husband comes your marriage has become distance.  Maybe it showing some stranger you care by pay it forward by buying there Dunkin or Star Bucks or paying for their groceries .  We all should start somewhere and make it a Crusade not a one day thing but really push into it and take ground with Love.  Find someone that might not expect you to love on them and show them love and kindness!  Make them feel special.  Take them higher! Make their day.  Maybe they will take that and make someone else day and before you know it this starts spreading around.   Just get out there and do it!!

God bless you all,

Jonathan

Big Tip Day!

6 of us Made it to Smokey Bones on Wednesday night for a good evening of friends, laughter and of course leaving the waitress a nice 40 dollar tip.  I could just tell it made her night.  I have heard so many horror stories from waitresses about terrible tips so it feels extra nice to give such a generous tip. Please people always remember when you go out to eat leave at least 15% tip. I always tell people I go with you should plan on leaving at least a 20% tip and work your way up from there.  I always say if you can’t afford the 20% tip then you shouldn’t be out eating in the first place. So I challenge all of you that the next time you are out eating that you leave a little extra then you normally would for your tip!

Still feeling down but not out!

If you are looking for an amazing book to read this book is it! What an incredible story and how just a single person who comes up with a great idea can help change the world.  Building schools in 3rd world countries is such an amazing thing to do.  A lot of people don’t realize there are incredible amounts of kids around the world that don’t even have a school to go to learn anything.  Its something we in America take for granted.  I am glad this man set out to make a difference like this!  I have dedicated my Birthday to this cause. I will be promoting a fund raiser with the goal of raising $500.  A donation would be the perfect birthday gift to me.  I hope you strongly consider donating. Be the difference in some kids education!!

Feeling down.

I haven’t felt right the last few days and today I spent a lot of it in bed but that hasn’t stop me from trying to make a difference in someone’s else life.   Today for example I posted two Facebook status messages letting the world know about two of my friends and how important I think they are.  I do not know if they will appreciate it or not but that does not matter to me.  The important thing is I want them to know how important they are and if they are ever feeling down I am there for them cause you just never know when they might need someone if their world comes crashing down.

So my challenge to all of you is find someone who is hurting today and help cheer them up.   Don’t let them leave the day on sour note.  Give them a smile, Give them something to cheer about and all it might take is a simple hello or a simple post card or s simple hey can I buy you lunch/dinner.  Give it a shot I bet you will find it will bring you some joy for the day as well.

Giving Atmosphere

What it means to give.  Well today I took a trip to Dunkin Donuts with a good friend, while waiting in line at the drive thru I informed him that I manage to lose $1oo at the casino last night. (It was stupid of me of course) So we place are order he goes to give me money for his drink and I said don’t worry about it I’ve got you.  When I get up to the drive thru window I pay for my order and explain I would like to pay for the two cars behind me.  The cashier says “ok this should be interesting telling the other cars someone paid for them” My guess is he has never had to do that before well I finish paying for both cars and he hands me my change and goes you are a good Samaritan which gave me goosebumps hearing him say that. Needless to say it made my day.

Now needless to say I have no idea if those two cars behind me even appreciated it.  I hope they had the courage to pay it forward for the cars behind them and that it started a chain of pay it forwards or they took that and went and did something good for someone else.  I sure hope so.  All I know is never stop doing good. Never stop trying to make someone’s day!  Always act out of kindness  Be the reason someone smiles today.

God bless,

Jonathan
